The challenge
AmicoX Logistics wanted to make sending parcels and freight as simple as booking a ride. Customers had to bring parcels to a logistics hub, dispatchers matched drivers by phone, and nobody could see where a vehicle was once it left. Proof of delivery, commissions and fleet-partner payouts were handled separately, so every order needed manual follow-up and checking.
The business also had to serve four very different users. Customers needed simple booking and tracking. Drivers needed clear jobs, navigation and fast proof capture on the road. Truck owners needed to register vehicles and see their earnings. Admins needed one live view of the whole fleet, with control over money and approvals.
The platform had to support every vehicle class, from motorbikes and small vans to flatbeds, tankers and heavy trucks, each with its own capacity and pricing. It also had to track vehicles in near real time without draining driver phone batteries, keep a full audit trail of every status change, and calculate commissions automatically for each completed order.
Solutions
- Customer portal and app for doorstep pickup booking
- Driver app with navigation, photo proof and e-POD
- Partner portal for fleet owners, KYC and payouts
- Master admin dashboard with live map and dispatch
We designed the platform around one order lifecycle that every app shares: Created, Assigned, En route to pickup, Picked up, In transit, Delivered and Closed, with a reason logged for every cancellation. Customers book in four steps: pickup and drop-off pins, package details, vehicle choice with an instant price, then schedule and payment.
Dispatchers assign drivers in one click from a dispatch board. Drivers get an alert with distance and expected earnings, navigate turn by turn, photograph the cargo at loading and unloading, and confirm delivery with a signature or OTP. Each driver’s location is sent every 10 seconds over Socket.IO, cached in Redis and stored in PostgreSQL with PostGIS, so the admin map and the customer’s tracking screen always stay current.
For finance, a configurable commission engine supports flat percentages or distance- and weight-based rates for each vehicle class. When an order closes, the platform calculates the platform commission and driver payout, generates a PDF invoice with a tax breakdown and proof of delivery, and adds the amount to the partner’s payout ledger for approval.
Vnerds turned our idea of doorstep pickup into a working platform. Booking, dispatch, live tracking and partner payouts now run from one system, and our team finally sees the whole fleet in one place.

Security and control were built in from the start. Admin users get role-based access as Super Admin, Dispatcher, Support Agent or Accountant. Every order status change, driver assignment and manual override is written to an activity log that cannot be edited. Fleet partners upload National ID, business registration and vehicle documents, which admins approve or reject before those vehicles can take jobs.
Key Outcomes
AmicoX now runs booking, dispatch, tracking, proof of delivery and payouts from one platform instead of separate tools and phone calls. Customers follow their parcel live from pickup to doorstep, dispatchers see the whole fleet on one map, and every order closes with digital proof and an invoice.
- One order lifecycle shared by four apps
- Live fleet map with 10-second location updates
- Digital proof at pickup and at delivery
- Automatic commission, invoice and payout records
